Biography :
Cristina Contini is a biochemist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cagliari, Italy, where she is also a contract professor of Biochemistry. Her research focuses on high-resolution mass spectrometry-based proteomics applied to human biofluids and tissues, with particular interest in neurodegenerative, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases. She is an expert in on top-down and bottom-up proteomic strategies to identify biomarkers, characterize protein–protein interactions, and investigate post-translational modifications. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in proteomics and biomedical sciences and she is currently PI of a one-year project on top-down plasma proteomics to discover early biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
