Biography :
Dr. Ella Kim has received her Ph.D. at the Institute of Molecular Biology (Kiew, Ukraine) in 1990. In 1992, Dr. Kim took a postdoct position at the Barrow Neurological Institute (Phoenix, AZ USA). In 2003, she received an EMBO Fellowship for a research project on transcriptional control by tumour suppressor p53 at the Heinrich-Pette-Institüt (Hamburg, Germany). Since 2003, Dr. Kim directs own research on molecular and cellular mechanisms of glioblastoma progression. Since 2011, Dr. Kim directs the Laboratory of Experimental Neurooncology at the Clinic for Neurosurgery of the University Medical Centre of Mainz (Germany).
